INTERCLEAN to Visit Olomouc for the First Time

On Thursday, 9 October, the NH Collection Olomouc Congress hotel will host the 28th INTERCLEAN conference—the only event of its kind in the Czech Republic dedicated to professionals in the textile care industry. As every year, it will offer space for discussion of the sector’s current challenges as well as technological innovations. The event is organised by the Association for Textile Care of the Czech Republic (APaČ).

The traditional INTERCLEAN conference for representatives of the textile care sector will, for the first time in its history, take place in Olomouc. This year’s venue is the NH Collection Olomouc Congress hotel. “INTERCLEAN welcomes around 170 participants every year, making it one of the most attended professional conferences in textile care worldwide. This year we also have 15 exhibitors, which is a record,” says Jana Puškáčová, President of APaČ.

As in previous years, the key themes will include sustainability and innovation. The Association’s general partner Christeyns plans to present technology solutions aligned with these topics. “At this year’s INTERCLEAN we want to showcase our energy-saving systems and greener alternatives for laundry and dry cleaning. We aim to demonstrate how to reduce energy and water consumption while offering more sustainable processes that protect the environment and lower our customers’ operating costs,” explains Denisa Havlenová, Director of the Laundry Technology division at Christeyns.

Among the speakers, Milan Sedláček of the consultancy RENARDS will present current and upcoming funding opportunities for laundries and dry cleaners. “We’ll share practical advice, tips and case studies on how to use these programmes for business development,” he notes.

The programme will also address agency employment with input from attorney and insolvency practitioner Jan Langmeier. Lucie Beránková, an analyst, will discuss the economic impacts of global changes. Vít Schlesinger, a mental coach, will offer guidance on maintaining personal energy.

The conference will be hosted by Czech Television presenter Veronika Kadeřábková. The evening raffle will feature former football striker, entertainer and presenter Petr Švancara. “I’m looking forward to the gala evening, the great atmosphere and a surprise we’re preparing. I enjoy events where people who love their work meet—and here you can see that textile care is anything but boring; it’s a field full of challenges and great ideas,” he adds.
