The third meeting of the year took place on 11 September 2025 in Havraníky, South Moravia, chaired by President Jana Puškáčová. The main items were preparations for INTERCLEAN, project status updates, and the European agenda including legislation.
As of the meeting date, INTERCLEAN 2025 had 169 participants and 16 exhibition stands. Board members tried the new VR headsets with content created over the summer at the Chrištof and Kyselý laundries—offering an inside look at industrial laundries. The VR experience will be showcased and available to try at INTERCLEAN 2025 and will subsequently move to the Svitavy Museum for a planned exhibition on industrial laundering. The Board discussed materials for Kolegium 2025 and, for 2026, confirmed the goal of a balanced budget and the continuation of all events.
The presentation of the Czech delegation at Clean Show 2025 in Orlando and at the Slovak Clean Expo was rated positively; based on the feedback, the APaČ Road Show will now be held twice a year. Interest in professional qualification exams continues to grow—fixed dates for exams and preparatory courses will be set for next year. Following a member survey, preferential legal support is being explored; the topic will be opened at INTERCLEAN with JUDr. Jan Langmeier.
The European agenda covered PFAS, microplastics, standards revisions, ecodesign, and energy. At the national level, the Association submitted comments on Annex No. 5 to Decree No. 306/2012 Coll. and on the new Critical Infrastructure Act, and approached the Czech Chamber of Commerce to examine the inclusion—particularly—of hospital laundries among critical infrastructure suppliers; we will continue to monitor opportunities for further comments.
In personnel matters, there was a change in the Board’s composition: Prokop Drášil (Arbela s.r.o.) replaces Nikola Kašparová (Caio s.r.o.) as an alternate member. The next meeting will take place on 13 November at the STAGES Prague hotel, featuring a debrief with INTERCLEAN 2025 exhibitors and a site visit of the venue for INTERCLEAN 2026.
More information can be found in the minutes of the meeting available in the members’ section.
