Members of the Committee for Industrial Laundries convened for their second meeting of this year on Tuesday, October 15, in Brno. They focused primarily on changes to the documentation for the certification of laundries according to industry specifications.
They discussed the method of recognizing certification for facilities certified according to RAL or the submission of translations or statements from TZÚ regarding certification according to RAL. These aspects will remain unchanged, as will the three-year validity of the certificates. A new fee for the registration of applications and the activities of the certification committee has been increased from 3,000 CZK to 4,000 CZK per case. Additionally, the conditions related to appeals against the decisions of the Certification Committee to the presidency of APaČ are being clarified. The issued certificates will also now include a notice that the certified facility undergoes annual supervisory inspections. The current validity of the certificates will be reported on the website at www.apac.cz. If the proposed changes by the committee are approved by the presidency, they will take effect in 2025.
Among other topics discussed was the revision of the professional qualification of Laundry Operations Worker, which, along with passing the examination for Chemical Cleaning and Wet Cleaning Operations Worker, can serve as a basis for obtaining a trade license for the operation of a professional laundry/cleaning service. The main adjustment was the easing of the material-technical equipment requirements, allowing the examination to be conducted not only in large laundry operations. The requirements for knowledge of modern technologies will be partially tested based on videos and photographs.
You can find other discussed topics in the minutes of the meeting, which are stored in the members’ section on the website www.apac.cz.
