The Committee for Small Laundries and Dry Cleaners met for the second time this year in an online setting. Its meeting took place on Wednesday, October 16. The main focus was on discussing the progress of the ongoing projects, which include the certification of cleaning services and the amortization table and formula.
From June to September of this year, detailed development of the certification process for cleaning services and its parameters took place. The groundwork was based on the outputs from the meetings of the working group for the Certification of Dry Cleaners from previous years, consisting of Eva Wernerová, Monika Býmová, Miroslav Malina, and Hanuš Zvolský, along with the comments from Mr. Martin Adamy. The project is expected to be legally addressed and tested in practice next year.
The amortization table and formula could facilitate the resolution of complaints for cleaning service operators. This is being addressed by a working group led by Mr. Adamy. The table being prepared by its members will provide parametric information on how many months or years a certain type of clothing should be used. The formula will represent an equation used to calculate compensation for a customer whose clothing has been damaged. The completion of the amortization table and formula is planned for spring 2025.
