The Board Discussed INTERCLEAN and Membership Fees

On 21 May, the second meeting of the Board of the Czech Association for Textile Care took place in Prague. The main topics included preparations for the INTERCLEAN 2026 conference, new industry projects, and proposed changes to APaČ’s internal documents and operating rules.

The Board devoted considerable attention to preparations for INTERCLEAN 2026, which will be held in Prague on 1 October 2026. The meeting also covered proposed amendments to the APaČ Membership Fee Regulations, which will be submitted to the membership and subsequently to the Association’s General Assembly. The proposed changes reflect the development of the membership base and include, among other things, a refinement of the rules for determining membership fees, adjustments to membership categories, and the introduction of regular indexation based on inflation.

The Board also discussed the development of a carbon footprint and water consumption calculator, which APaČ is preparing in cooperation with Brno University of Technology. The aim of the project is to provide companies with a practical tool for monitoring and evaluating environmental indicators. Members of the Board also reviewed preparations for this year’s market research project conducted by NEUBERT Marketing, which will be the most comprehensive study of the Czech textile care market to date.

Another important topic was the upcoming European study on the textile rental and service market, which is being carried out by EY in cooperation with ETSA. APaČ will contribute to the project by sharing selected data from its 2024 market research and by helping to prepare expert estimates and background information for the Czech market.

The Board also approved the submission of revised statutes and related documents to the Association’s General Assembly, discussed preparations for the professional study trip to Expo Detergo 2026 in Milan, and was informed about the continued development of the Dry Cleaning Certification project. The Czech Association for Textile Care currently has 108 members and remains committed to maintaining a balanced budget.
