The November meeting of the Board of the Czech Association for Textile Care focused on a detailed evaluation of this year’s INTERCLEAN conference and preparations for its next edition. Together with representatives of exhibitors, participants toured the conference facilities at the STAGES Hotel Prague, where the event will take place in 2026.
This year’s conference, held in Olomouc, attracted a record 194 participants – the highest number in the modern history of the event. Attendees most often highlighted the quality of the exhibitor stands, good organisation, and ample space for networking. Based on the feedback received, the 2026 programme will be adjusted: fewer presentations, a longer evening programme, and a greater emphasis on legislative updates and interactive elements are planned. The next edition will take place on 1 October 2026 at the STAGES Hotel Prague. The thirtieth anniversary edition will then be held in 2027 at the OREA Congress Hotel Brno, formerly known as Hotel Voroněž.
Legislation was another major topic discussed at the meeting. The Industrial Laundry Commission presented developments regarding the preparation of mandatory EPR for textiles, in which the Czech Association for Textile Care is actively involved through the working group of the Ministry of the Environment. The Small Laundry Commission proposed organising excursions to large facilities and was expanded by three new experts. It also drew attention to additional European topics—microplastics, ESG reporting, and wastewater.
From the European association ETSA, information was shared about the impact of the energy situation in Germany and the British CO₂ calculator GLARE, now used by most laundries in the UK. The Czech Association for Textile Care will examine the potential for taking inspiration and possibly developing its own national version. The Board also approved two new partnership cooperations—with the law firm Langmeier & Co. and with RENARDS—which will provide members with discounted services, expert content, and support in the field of subsidies.
