The networking event TexTalk, originally planned for April this year, is being postponed to 2027. The reason is the planned reconstruction and expansion of the Jihlava Laundry and Dry Cleaning Facility, which is an integral part of the event and a key element of its program.
TexTalk is a unique platform for meeting and sharing experience across the entire textile ecosystem. Since 2023, it has regularly brought together representatives of laundries and dry cleaners, fashion designers, manufacturers and clothing brand representatives, textile producers, and other industry professionals — across generations and professional specializations. This cross-disciplinary exchange of knowledge and the creation of new collaborations are among the main benefits of the event.
An integral part of TexTalk is also a guided tour of the laundry and dry-cleaning operations, offering participants a practical insight into what a modern 21st-century facility looks like. However, during the reconstruction, it would not be possible to ensure a tour of sufficient scope and quality.
“TexTalk is built on personal meetings, inspiration, and concrete examples from practice. The tour of a modern operation is one of the key moments of the entire event. Given the scale of the reconstruction, we would not be able to maintain this standard this year. Therefore, we have decided to move the next edition to 2027,” explains Monika Býmová, organizer of TexTalk.
The organizers look forward to welcoming participants in 2027 in the newly expanded facilities, which will offer an even better presentation of the future of modern textile care and further development of collaboration across the entire industry.
