On 4 February 2026, the first meeting of the Board of the Czech Association for Textile Care this year took place in Karlovy Vary. The main topics included legislation, preparation of the INTERCLEAN conference, market research and new services for member companies.
The Board confirmed that the INTERCLEAN 2027 conference will be held on 7 October 2027 in Brno. This year’s edition will take place on 1 October 2026 in Prague, with the morning programme dedicated to presenting the results of the strategic market research.
The research, carried out by NEUBERT Marketing, will build on the 2024 survey and focus on market developments, B2B customer satisfaction and feedback from laundries and dry cleaners towards their suppliers.
The Board unanimously approved APaČ’s official position on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) in the field of textiles. The Association supports the exclusion of B2B textiles, particularly workwear and professionally used textiles, from the EPR system.
Professional textile services operate on the principle of a closed-loop circular model. According to APaČ, applying a consumer-oriented EPR system to B2B textiles would result in duplicate regulation without delivering corresponding environmental benefits. APaČ aligns its position with that of the European Textile Services Association (ETSA).
In 2026, APaČ is preparing, among other activities, a professional seminar on labour law, a Road Show for laundry and dry-cleaning professionals, and a study trip to the Expo Detergo trade fair in Milan.
The Board also approved a pilot project introducing an anonymous Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) helpline for employees of member companies, to be evaluated by the end of 2026.
The financial result for 2025 was virtually balanced. The Association increased investments in the INTERCLEAN conference, market research, education and the development of its presentation.
The next Board meeting will take place on 21 May 2026 in Prague.
