At the end of April, an expert seminar titled Legal Excursion into Labour Law was held in Prague. The event was organized by the Czech Association for Textile Care in cooperation with the law firm Langmeier & Co., s.r.o. It was one of the first tangible outcomes of this year’s newly established partnership between the Association and the law firm.
The seminar was led by JUDr. Jan Langmeier, attorney-at-law and licensed insolvency practitioner, who focused primarily on practical labour law issues encountered in the day-to-day operations of laundries and dry-cleaning businesses. Participants discussed topics such as choosing between standard employment contracts and agreements outside the main employment relationship, employee liability for damages, and legal aspects of addressing labour shortages. The discussion session also provided space for specific questions and sharing practical experiences.
The seminar, which took place with a beautiful view of Prague Castle, confirmed strong interest in practically oriented legal education within the sector.
