At the end of November, the association, represented by the member of the board, Nikola Kašparová, and the executive director, Monika Býmová, participated in the general assembly of the Association of the Textile-Clothing-Leather Industry (ATOK) in Znojmo. The meeting agenda included, among other things, a workshop on current topics of the textile and clothing industry or the outputs of ATOK members on the implementation of the circular economy such as the REACH regulation, the ecological footprint of the product and the digital passport of the product.
“We found out what ATOK and Euratex (European Textile Association) are currently dealing with. The positive thing was that the fundamental topics overlap with our interest, e.g. Waste management or Digital Product Passport. Information regarding funding from educational projects in which ATOK is involved can also be beneficial for us,” Nikola Kašparová evaluated the participation in the event.
The outcome of the meeting will be discussed at the next meeting of the APaČ presidency, which will take place next year.
