On Thursday, 29 May 2025, the 37th National Assembly of the Czech Chamber of Commerce took place at Prague’s O2 universum — a key event that regularly brings together representatives of business associations, the expert public, political leaders, and state administration. Our Association was represented at the assembly by President Jana Puškáčová and Vice President Jan Chrištof.
The assembly was opened by the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Zdeněk Zajíček, with the well-known quote by President John F. Kennedy: “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country.” In his address, he called on entrepreneurs to take initiative and actively contribute to the economic development of the Czech Republic. At the same time, he emphasized that the state itself must also undergo transformation if the Czech business environment is to remain competitive.
Throughout the event, a wide range of current topics was discussed — from digitalization and automation to the development of artificial intelligence and the legislative obstacles that hinder the efficient operation of businesses. A key point was also the recognition of the role of the private sector, which employs nearly three million people and forms the backbone of the national economy.
We see our annual participation in the assembly as an important opportunity to stay in touch with developments in the business environment and to build useful connections with other professional organizations at the national level. Next year, the Chamber of Commerce will hold an electoral assembly.
