On the first Thursday of October, experts from the textile care sector met in Prague after five years. The 27th edition of the INTERCLEAN conference was hosted by OREA Hotel Pyramida Prague. This year, the traditional event focused on washing, cleaning and rental of laundry attracted 180 visitors, thus confirming that it belongs to the most visited events of its kind in the world.
Only the USA, Germany and Great Britain can match the number of visitors to their conferences focused on professional laundry maintenance to the Czech INTERCLEAN. This year’s 27th edition was presented by Czech TV presenter Veronika Kadeřábková after her maternity leave.
The lecture program started with the presentation of new market research commissioned by the Czech Association for Textile Care with the company NEUBERT Marketing. Together with the president of the Association, Jana Puškáčová, the company’s director Robert Neubert introduced the guests to the results of the research, who also spoke about the importance of getting involved in field research. Komerční banka’s Chief Economist Jan Vejmělek then spoke about the economic outlook from the point of view of Czech companies for the next year.
In the afternoon program, IT entrepreneur Alexandra Belingerová presented her view on how artificial intelligence is already changing business and will change it even more in the future. It was followed by the representative of the Association for European Topics, Nikola Kašparová, with the topics of the field of textile care in Europe. The talk was mainly about fires in laundries and the GLARE project, which will create a carbon footprint calculator for laundries.
The evening’s entertainment was provided by a rich raffle with well-known entertainer Jakub Kohák. This was followed by the band Necháme to být with a strong track of laundry companies Chrištof and Pragoperun, which were joined at the end of the performance by other members of the Association Patrik Žila from Christeyns and Tomáš Hrnčíř from Primus. DJ Silent from Brno then played to dance until the morning.
The main program of the conference also included the afternoon session of the College, where those present elected the new leadership of the Association for the next three years. The presidential post was defended by Jana Puskáčová. More information can be found HERE.
