INTERCLEAN 2023 is heading to Brno!

On Thursday, October 5, the 26th INTERCLEAN conference will take place in the OREA Congress Hotel Brno. It is the only event of its kind in the Czech Republic intended for professionals from the field of textile care. This year, the organizers have prepared for the visitors, among other things, a study on the comparison of the carbon footprint of industrial and domestic washing, a debate on workplace relations or a political Stand Up. The event is organized by the Czech Association for Textile Care (APAČ).

The INTERCLEAN conference, offering a platform for meeting professionals from the field of textile care, returns to Brno after a year. This year’s participants will be welcomed on Thursday, October 5 by the OREA Congress Hotel, which previously hosted the event under its old name Voronez. “INTERCLEAN and Voronez have a common history. The conference was regularly held there in the past. The last time was in 2015,” says Jana Puškáčová, president of the Czech Association for Textile Care.

This year’s program offers space for technological innovations from the world of professional washing and cleaning, entertainment and lectures. “Every year, we have a survey of the laundry and laundry cleaning market prepared, this year we chose to compare the carbon footprint of industrial and domestic laundry. The study was prepared by experts from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of BUT, Brno,” Monika Býmová, executive director of the Association, presents the topic of one of them.

Among the speakers will be the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce Tomáš Prouza, who, among other things, will evaluate the half-term of Petr Fiala’s government. Space will also be given to discussions about workplace relations with the director of the monastery in Želiv, David Palušák. Nikola Kašparová, a member of the Association’s board, will introduce European industry trends and news to the conference participants.

Twelve supplier companies will also present themselves at the event, including Christeyns, which plans to present modern concepts for more economical washing as part of the conference. “One of the most up-to-date tools is the Rapid-O ozone washing system in cold water, which not only requires almost no energy, but can also dramatically improve the operation of the laundry,” outlines Ondřej Kopka, director of the Christeyns laundry division.

Television and radio presenter Ondřej Blaho will guide visitors through the conference. Actor Zdeněk Godla will join him for the evening raffle. DJ Silent from Brno will play for the dance. The entertainment program will also include a fashion show of the Helenín High School of Arts and Crafts, whose students designed and made models from discarded clothes from laundries and dry cleaners.
