The Commission for Industrial Laundries began its activities for the year on January 21 in Brno with its first meeting, where key industry topics were discussed. The discussion focused primarily on the categorization of work in laundries, a review of depreciation tables, and the proposal of a formula for more efficient handling of complaints. These issues are crucial for setting unified rules and improving services in industrial laundry operations.
A significant point on the agenda was the preparation for the second edition of the European Open Laundry Days, scheduled to take place from March 24–28. The event aims to showcase the operations of industrial laundries to the public, support recruitment initiatives, and raise awareness of the industry. The Czech Association for Textile Care, which achieved the largest media reach among national associations last year, is now considering how to approach this year’s event. Suggestions include guided tours for vocational schools and high schools, or a media day focusing on company stories. The Association will once again collaborate with a PR agency to ensure the event’s maximum impact. A call to participate will be sent to member companies in February.
Details on the topics discussed can be found in the meeting minutes, which are available in the members’ section HERE.
