Brno, October 5, 2023 – 170 participants arrived at the 26th edition of the INTERCLEAN 2023 washing, cleaning and laundry rental conference. The event, which is the only one of its kind in the Czech Republic, once again brought discussions on current topics, presentations of technological innovations at the exhibitors’ stands and entertainment . All this in the premises of the former Voroněž Hotel, now the reconstructed OREA Congress Hotel Brno.
The political stand-up Tomáš Prouza started the conference under the leadership of Czech TV presenter Ondřej Blah. The vice president of the Chamber of Commerce explained to the visitors what the negotiations with the current government look like. The performance was followed by an interview with Nikola Kašparová, who represents the Association in ETSA (European Textile Care Association). It was mainly about what the Green Deal will bring to our industry.
The afternoon program included an escape game at the exhibitors’ stands for a mysterious treasure. As part of the lectures, Vítězslav Máša, vice-dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the BUT, for master’s studies, presented a study on the comparison of the carbon footprint of domestic and professional laundry. The director of the Želiv monastery, David Peter Palušák, then spoke about how to create and maintain relationships in the workplace.
The evening program brought an entertaining performance in the form of a fashion show of collections made from recycled laundry and clothing from laundries and dry cleaners, created by students of the Jihlava – Helenín Secondary School of Arts and Crafts. Members of the Association’s board of directors as well as representatives of partners and exhibitors presented themselves in the roles of models. The evening raffle was accompanied by the presenter Ondřej Blah, an actor from Chomutov known from the series Most! Zdeněk Godla. DJ Silent took care of the music until the morning hours.
Part of the main program of the conference was also the meeting of the Board, at which the members of the Association dealt with the activities of APaČ in the past period and discussed the activities for the next year. Details of the meeting of the highest body of the Association can be found in a separate record, which, together with the presentations from the lectures and surveys 2023, will soon be available in the members’ section at www.apac.cz.
