On March 19–20, 2025, the city of Liberec hosted a professional training session on Textiles and Sustainability: Properties, Labeling, and Innovation, organized by the Czech Association for Textile Care in cooperation with experts from the Faculty of Textile Engineering at the Technical University of Liberec and the company Dibella b.v.
During the two-day program held directly at the textile faculty, participants explored the properties of textiles used for bed linens, towels, home textiles, and garments, including their composition, construction, and fiber selection. The training also featured demonstrations in the laboratory of comfort properties and the weaving lab. A key topic was textile sustainability, which is becoming an increasingly important aspect of the laundry and dry-cleaning industry.
The training had a great atmosphere, and participants appreciated the high level of expertise in both lectures and practical demonstrations. We thank all attendees for their active participation and look forward to our next meeting.
