Online training for workers in laundries and dry cleaners
Qualified workers in the field of textile care are in short supply and their turnover is high. The new educational application E-Washboard can help operators of laundries and dry cleaners in training new employees from now on. This is the first ever online free training for laundry and dry cleaning workers in the form of a mobile application and a website, which aims to improve the skills of workers in the field of laundry and dry cleaning, which has undergone significant digitization over the last decade.
The app was created as part of the Educate! financed from the resources of the EU Erasmus + program, in which, in addition to APaC, associations from Germany, Belgium, Sweden, the European organization ETSA and the educational institute HeurekaNet are also involved.
Six working teams started work on a project called “Educate!” in autumn 2018 within the framework of the ERASMUS+ programme.
The product of this project is an online educational platform called E-Washboard – E-Valcha in Czech. It is a comical opposite of the endeavor of this project, which is to develop an educational platform that will show our industry in the modern era – i.e. digitized and automated.
The application was created in a number of language mutations, including Czech. It is free to download from September 1, 2021 for both iPhone and Android users. You can also use it on their website www.e-washboard.cz.
